This Privacy Policy describes how Doing Lines ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application ("App").
Your use of the App is also governed by our Terms of Service.
Short summary: We collect only what we need to create, manage, and generate audio for your scripts, operate your account, and keep the App secure. Optional app usage analytics are disabled by default and are enabled only if you choose to allow them. We do not sell personal information, do not use app data for advertising or cross-app tracking, and you can request deletion of your account and content.
Data Categories We Collect
For transparency, we group information into the following categories (aligned with app store disclosure expectations):
- Account Identifiers: Email address used for account login and communication.
- Authentication Metadata: Internal session or token identifiers necessary to operate the App.
- User-Generated Content: Uploaded or entered scripts, play configurations (roles, timings), voice selections, and optional notes.
- Generated Content: Structured script segments (e.g., CSV/YAML), synthesized voice audio files, voice sample listings.
- Usage & Interaction Data: Core operational events needed to run the App and, if you choose to enable optional app analytics, analytics events such as screen views, feature usage, settings changes, and interaction timestamps.
- Device & Technical Data: App version, operating system, device type, and general performance signals. We do not collect precise location.
- Diagnostic & Log Data: Error logs and operational events needed to maintain stability and security.
Data Not Collected
We do not collect: precise or coarse location, contacts, payment or financial data, advertising identifiers, health or biometric data, photos/videos, calendars, SMS, or call logs.
Linking & Tracking
- Data linked to your identity: email, your uploaded/generated content, and usage tied to your account.
- Data not linked: aggregated performance metrics after aggregation/anonymization.
- No cross-app tracking and no sale or sharing of personal information for marketing purposes.
- Optional app analytics are not enabled unless you actively opt in within the App.
Information We Collect
Personal Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and other information you provide during registration through our authentication service.
Content You Provide
You may upload scripts, audio recordings, and other content. We store this content to provide our services, including AI voice generation and script management.
Usage Information
We collect information about how you use the App to operate requested features and keep the service reliable. If you choose to enable optional app analytics, we also collect product analytics about screens viewed, features used, and interactions with App functionality so we can understand usage patterns and improve the product.
Device Information
We may collect information about your device, including device type, operating system, and app version.
Optional App Usage Analytics
The App includes optional usage analytics implemented through Firebase / Google Analytics 4. These analytics are used for product improvement, feature measurement, debugging trends, and understanding how users navigate the App. They are not used for advertising, profiling for marketing, or cross-app tracking.
- Off by default: App analytics collection is disabled by default and is enabled only after you actively choose to allow it.
- What may be collected if enabled: App screen views, feature interaction events, settings changes, general device/app metadata, and event parameters such as play or character identifiers needed to understand how features are used.
- Identity handling: If you enable optional app analytics, analytics events may be associated with your app account identifier for product analytics purposes. We do not use your email address or display name as an analytics identifier.
- Your choices: You can turn optional app analytics off at any time in the App. When you do, future app analytics collection is disabled and the app-side analytics identity is cleared.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our services
- Generate AI voices for script rehearsal
- Store and manage your scripts and recordings
- Improve our App and develop new features, including through optional app analytics where you have chosen to enable them
- Communicate with you about updates and support
- Ensure security and prevent fraud
AI & Automated Processing
Automatic processing transforms script text into structured segments and synthesized voice audio to assist with rehearsal. This processing does not profile you for advertising or make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Limited disclosure may occur to operate the App, comply with law, or with your direction.
Examples include secure infrastructure hosting, authentication providers, AI and voice processing providers, analytics providers for optional app analytics, responding to lawful requests, and sharing content when you choose to export or share it. Optional app analytics may be processed through Firebase / Google Analytics services.
Data Security
We implement layered safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, protected storage, least‑privilege access controls, monitoring, and periodic reviews. While no system can be 100% secure, we work to continuously improve our protections.
Retention
- Account & email: Retained while your account is active or until you request deletion.
- Scripts, configurations, generated audio: Retained until you delete them or delete your account.
- Optional app analytics data: Retained in analytics systems for a limited period in accordance with configured analytics retention settings and then deleted, aggregated, or de-identified where applicable.
- Operational logs/diagnostics: Retained for a limited period for reliability and security, then deleted or aggregated.
You may request deletion of associated content at any time. Deletion is irreversible.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights:
- Access to your personal information
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of your information
- Data portability
- Withdrawal of consent for optional app analytics
- Opt-out of certain data processing where available under local law

Regional Privacy Notes
- EEA / UK: Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on consent for optional app analytics and provide rights such as access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability where applicable.
- United States: Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain processing or disclosures, subject to applicable law and exceptions. We do not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Australia: Where the Australian Privacy Act applies, you may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you, and you may contact us with privacy concerns or complaints.
Legal Bases (Where Applicable)
- Performance of a contract: Providing core App features you request.
- Legitimate interests: Service security, fraud prevention, operational logging, and improving the App using non-optional operational data.
- Consent: Optional app usage analytics and other optional processing where we ask for your permission.
- Legal obligations: Compliance with applicable laws and requests.
Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it immediately.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers where required by applicable law. This may include transfers to cloud, authentication, analytics, or AI processing providers that support the App.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
Data Deletion & Account Closure
You may request account and content deletion by contacting us. After deletion, scripts and generated audio cannot be recovered.
If you disable optional app analytics, new analytics collection through the App will stop going forward. Historical analytics data may remain in existing reports for a limited period until deleted, aggregated, or de-identified under the retention rules above.
